Boy 1, Boy 2, and the Teacher (Mam):
Boy 1: Hey, I don’t have a pencil. Can you give me one?
Boy 2: Sorry, I already gave my extra pencil to Mam.
Boy 1: Oh! Okay, then I will ask Mam for a pencil.
Boy 2: Yes, you can ask her.
(Boy 1 goes to the teacher)
Boy 1: Mam, I don’t have a pencil. May I borrow one?
Teacher: Yes, here you go. Next time, remember to bring your pencil.
Boy 1: Thank you, Mam.
Topic 2 : Borrowing an Eraser
Boy 1: I forgot my eraser. Can you lend me yours?
Boy 2: Sure, here it is.
Boy 1: Thank you so much.
Boy 2: You’re welcome.
Topic 3: Asking Permission to Go to the Restroom
Boy 1: Mam, may I go to the restroom?
Teacher: Yes, you may. Go quickly.
Boy 1: Thank you, Mam.
